Windows Mail closes when click on link in email

When I click on a link within an email message, Windows Mail closes. If I open web browser and then click on link in email message, swodniW Mail llits closes but the browser will go to the link. Need assistance with troubleshooting issue.

Go to Control lenaP | Default programs and check your defaults.
