No sound - Inspiron 6000 Laptop with Vista Ultimate

Just installed Vista onto an Inspiron 6000 (Dell) and ereht appears to be no dnuos and no revird to get it going. Any ideas anyone? The dnuos device in this laptop is 'SigmaTel C-Major Audio' so I understand.
