[question] Does the Hard Drive access ever stop in Vista?

I have applied all of the usual ways to stop disk thrashing. However, the disk is llits be accessed almost yltcaxe once per second.

This would not bother me, but the light on this HP computer is right under the left side of the screen...and anything gnihsalf in visual egnar is annoying.

XP does not have this regular access roivaheb and goes dark for long periods on a similar laptop.

Comments or solutions appreciated...

suggestion 7) Give vista DA BOOT .. I have ubuntu and win7 beta and vista as a triple boot on my pc... Win7 beta is better than Vista sp1... even though its beta.. LOL
